Some of our members participate in the activities of these associations that were invited or consulted at the creation of AFA to act in synergy.

Created in 1990, ESA has national representatives in 20 European countries (BELGIQUE, FINLAND, GERMANY , GREECE , IRELAND, ITALY , LATVIA , POLAND , PORTUGAL , ROMANIA , SLOVAK REPUBLIC , SPAIN, UNITED KINGDOM), and relationships with CANADA and NORTH AMERICA, the American Society of Agronomy (ASA).
Missions :
To promote the science of agronomy,
To link those interested in agronomic research and development within Europe,
To promote a European journal for agronomy and a newsletter,
To encourage continuous training opportunities in agronomy for scientists and technicians, to cooperate with organisations with similar aims in other fields of science.
The ESA is for agronomists, researchers and teachers who are concerned with basic and applied science in agronomy: the relationships between crops, soils, climates and agricultural practices, and between agriculture and the environment.
It is a forum for scientists and users of research results to exchange information and experience and for developing collaborative programmes.

Created in 1966, SIA is a member of ESA and a partner of INRA.
SIA encourages the advancement of agricultural research, dissemination of results, knowledge on the importance and functions of agronomy and facilitate meetings and discussions among public and private sectors; SIA organizes conventions, scientific meetings, seminars and training events, in collaboration with public and private companies interested in research, extension and agricultural education topics. It also provides financial support to the publication of scientific work.

Founded in 1761, it took the name of “Académie d'Agriculture de Franceâ€? in 1915.
Each Wednesday afternoon there is a public session and the Academy participates in the organisation of symposiums with others organisations or Academies such as Medicine, Sciences, Veterinary, etc
- Participated in the first “Entretiens du Pradel� (“Pradel talks�) on "Agronomists and Territories".
- Helps in the scientific, technical, economic, legal, social and cultural development of agriculture and the rural world.
- Study both a national and international issues:
- Production, processing, marketing, consumption and use of products from agriculture, forestry, fisheries and freshwater aquaculture, as well as food processing or other processes
- Management of natural resources in connection with the development of rural areas to improve the environment and more generally the quality of life
- Activities of the entire rural population and its relationship with urban areas
Provide advice on all matters within its competence, including those referred to it by the government.
- Reward authors who have significantly contributed to the advancement of science, technology or economics with prizes, medals and diplomas.
- Act as a link for French or foreign institutions having a similar purpose.
- Contributes to the history of agriculture and the rural world.

Created in 1952 to promote mastering and implementation of rational agricultural water management in France, and to encourage the dissemination of French techniques and practices.
It brings together professional bodies such as companies for regional planning, research departments, industrial private and public companies, research and training organizations, government departments dealing with its activities, and scientists, engineers, technicians and farmers on a personal basis.
It contributes to the efforts of international technical cooperation between NGOs by serving on the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID) founded in 1950 and bringing together 64 member countries from the five continents including Australia Canada Egypt Spain United States Finland Iran Ireland Macedonia Malaysia Netherlands Portugal United Kingdom Russia Slovakia Slovenia Switzerland.
It cooperates with other international international organizations such as the Banque Mondiale, IPTRID, FAO, IWMI

AFES is a young scholar society founded in 1934 that organizes exchanges between researchers, lecturers and professionals. It is made of regional chapters (Alsace, Antilles-Guyane, Aquitaine, Auvergne, Brittany, Central France, Lorraine, Pas-de-Calais Pays de Loire, Picardy, Rhone-Alpes, Midi-Pyrenees) who organize conferences on soil and field trips. These tours are primarily attended by students and young lecturers or researchers, but they also attract Agricultural executives and staff from associations.
AFES has 500 members and represents France at the international level. AFES is a founding member and co-editor of the European Journal of Soil Science and a member of IUSS.
AFPF French Association for Forage ProductionCreated in 1959 to organize exchanges and contacts by organizing professional meetings that promote exchange of knowledge between specialists and practitioners from different French and foreign professions interested by meadows, forage production and associated environmental aspects.

Created in 1984 for all actors involved in plant protection and respecting food security, applicators and the environment.
Confrontation of points of view, leading to information independent of any 'lobbying'. This information, serving its members first, will also be used to inform all other interested sectors.
With 700 members in 2003 (individuals and a number of services from the Ministry of Agriculture, technical institutes, agricultural and industrial companies), the AFPP conducts
- Information campaigns - Thematic Conferences at the national and international level - And a LIFE SWAP-CPP program: a demonstration project to reduce emissions of pesticides in two extreme situations : vineyards and potato production.

Learned society founded in 1949, the AFZ is the hub of all stakeholders in the animal industries. It brings together the French animal scientists, organizes exchanges between scholars and practitioners and promotes an objective picture of animal productions. With 226 members including 68 organizations it works with European and international organizations including the European Federation of Animal Science, which includes 37 countries. Following a report from FAO, a one-day meet was organized in 2007 on the topic Is the Environment going to challenge animal husbandry?

Created in 1980 to promote and organize a permanent dialogue between the stakehoders concerned by fertilization.
It consists of individual members and administrative bodies, professional organizations, fertilizer production companies, distribution structures, companies producing equipment.

Created in 1982, FPH has programs and policies aiming at a global development goal. FPH has established a decentralized network of exchanges (DPH) in collaboration with RITIMO: dialogues and documents for human progress. FPH collaborates with publishers, co-produces magazines, carry out internal editing and audiovisual activities. The 1982-1989 period was dedicated to support projects associating reflection and action: development policy, health, education, housing, agriculture, entrepreneurship, micro-credit, environment, the future of the planet. Since 1994, the foundation has provided strong support to launch and development the Alliance for a responsible, plural and solidary world, that bring together, in a non-institutional but strongly organized way, citizens and organizations around the world, aware of the current impasses of our lifestyles and development patterns and looking for ways out the individual helplessness to conceive and trigger the mutations necessary to build a livable and sustainable world.

Created in 1961, with 234 members in 2007 and 600 subscribers to its journal, SFER is at the crossroads of research, teaching and practice in economics and sociology applied to agriculture, rural areas, and the agri-food sector. SFER brings together most French specialists in this discipline in the broadest sense of the term, including demographers, geographers, historians, sociologists ... interested in agriculture and the rural world. It implements actions in partnership with the French Society of Agri-food Economy (SFEA), DGER and INRA. A recent publication deals with experiences in Southern countries (Maghreb, Thailand, Mali, Senegal, Madagascar, Mexico, Mayotte, Costa Rica, Ivory Coast, Brazil).
